Cargo & Mail Operations

As part of the initiative to further expand its cargo and mail operations at Beirut Rafic Hariri International Airport, LAT has relocated mid-2016 to a proximate 8,000 sqm cargo facility, endowed with the proper certifications and accreditations to handle specialized shipments, such as refrigerated or dangerous goods, perishables, live animals and many more.

In conjunction with this move, LAT continues to invest heavily in its IT systems and to develop its human resources, with a constant concern to deliver one of the most professional and knowledgeable services in the industry.

Coupled with the utilization of high-tech equipment, RA3-EU certified warehouses in full compliance with European regulations, and a customer-oriented culture, it is not surprising that LAT has become the handler of choice for many global customers and carriers who continuously seek the superior services and outstanding customized experience that LAT has to offer.

The automated offices operate 24/7/365 and are equipped to handle both incoming and outgoing shipments, including the acceptance of shipments, the preparation of pallets for exports, the receipt of shipments from aircrafts, the breaking down of consolidations, the storage of shipments until their clearance and collection by customers, and any other related supporting services.

In parallel to its Cargo and Mail operations, LAT runs its warehousing facility with dedicated sheds for General Cargo, Temperature Controlled 0-2°C, 2-8°C, and 15-25°C, and Dangerous Goods.
